An anchor can be correctly specified and still fail if the concrete is weaker than expected, the drilling was off or the fixing was not set properly. A pull-out test removes the guesswork.
How a test works
A calibrated rig is attached to the anchor and a controlled load is applied, held, and recorded. The anchor passes if it carries the test load without movement or damage. Each anchor tested receives its own record.
When to test
- After installing anchors in existing concrete or masonry
- At handover of a new system
- When the condition of the structure is uncertain
- As part of periodic re-certification
What you receive
A test certificate listing each anchor, its location, the load applied and the result, plus tags on the anchors themselves. That record is what your auditor or insurer will ask to see.
828 performs pull-out testing on anchors we install and on existing systems. Contact us to book a test.
