Guardrail Systems.

Aluminium guardrail systems for roofs and platforms: freestanding, parapet-mounted, Z-bracket and wall-bracket, in straight or inclined versions, to EN 14122-3 and EN 13374.

Overview

Collective edge protection that keeps everyone safe without harnesses.

Guardrail is collective protection: it protects everyone on the roof at once, needs no harness or training to use, and is the first choice wherever it can be installed. A well-planned guardrail also keeps maintenance teams away from fragile edges and roof lights.

828 supplies a modular aluminium range that suits almost any roof edge. Freestanding systems are held by counterweights and need no drilling; parapet, Z-bracket and wall-bracket systems fix to the existing structure without penetrating the roof membrane. Inclined versions lean outwards for a wider safe zone and a lower profile from the street.

Every system is designed to EN 14122-3 and EN 13374, with uprights of at least 1,100 mm. We survey the edge, choose the right system and post layout, then supply, install and hand over with documentation.

  • Aluminium: light, corrosion-resistant, no painting
  • No drilling with freestanding counterweight systems
  • Parapet fixings that leave the roof membrane intact
  • Straight or inclined posts
  • Kickboard options for edges without a parapet
  • To EN 14122-3:2016 and EN 13374:2013+A1:2018

📍 Site surveys, installation and inspection nationwide — Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

Common Questions.

Do I need to drill into the roof?

Not with a freestanding system: it is held by counterweights and leaves the roof membrane intact. Parapet, Z-bracket and wall-bracket systems fix to the parapet or wall, not through the roof.

Which system suits a low parapet?

A wall bracket or parapet guardrail raises a low parapet to a safe height. If the parapet top is capped or waterproofed, the Z-bracket system fixes below the capping instead.

What height is the guardrail?

Uprights are at least 1,100 mm high, with a knee rail no more than about 500 mm below the handrail and posts spaced up to 1,750 or 2,500 mm apart, depending on the system.

When is a kickboard needed?

Where there is no parapet, a toe board stops tools and materials from being kicked over the edge. Both freestanding and fixed systems are available with kickboards.
