Building Maintenance Unit

A Building Maintenance Unit (BMU) is a crane-like system that hangs from a building’s roof, moving systematically to enable maintenance tasks on the facade. This platform, often extending over 2 meters, is supported by a multi-layer drum hoist and four separate wire ropes. Additionally, it can include an auxiliary hoist for tasks like glass replacement and heavy-duty maintenance. FBA Gomyl BMUs are customized using standardized components to ensure they reach and maintain all parts of a building’s facade, even those with an outreach exceeding 30 meters.

BMUs typically operate on a building’s exterior but can be utilized for courtyard and atrium wall maintenance, among other tasks.

Architects, builders, and consultants frequently encounter facade challenges, and they rely on FBA Gomyl’s wide range of BMUs, from basic models to sophisticated modular systems tailored to functional requirements.

The BMU’s design and components undergo calculations using cutting-edge software and adhere to European (EN1808) and North American (Machine Directive 2006/42/CEE) standards during testing.

Furthermore, it’s worth noting that the 828 cable system is the preferred partner of FBA Gomyl for BMU systems in the Philippines, ensuring reliable and efficient equipment solutions for building maintenance needs.
